Houston, Mo. – An intoxicated man from Plato was injured in a one-vehicle crash Friday afternoon. According to the Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred on Highway AW, four miles north of Roby in Texas County at 1:45 p.m.
A southbound 2017 Ford Focus driven by Wade Hansen, 31 of Plato, traveled off the right edge of the roadway, crossing over a county road and striking a parked travel trailer. Hansen was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Careless and Imprudent Driving Resulting in an Injury Crash, and No Seat Belt. He was released to be transported by ambulance to Gen. Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the crash.
