The City of Mountain View Electric Department has announced a planned power outage for Sunday, February 15, beginning at 8 a.m., to allow crews to complete infrastructure upgrades.

Workers will be replacing aerial poles in the affected area.
The outage will impact several neighborhoods, including:
- 5th Street between Maple and 7th
- 6th Street to Marr Street
- All of Marr Street between 7th and 4th
- 4th Street from Maple to Marr
City officials say the temporary shutdown is necessary to improve long‑term reliability of the electrical system. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly.
The City apologized for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience during the upgrade work. Anyone with questions is asked to contact City Hall.
