Rehabilitation of Falling Springs Mill Completed

The Mark Twain National Forest and Mingo Job Corp Center have completed rehabilitation of the Falling Springs mill structure.

The nearly 100 year old building was devastated by a EF-3 tornado early in 2025. Crews spent four days replacing aging siding, some that were compromised and allowing water to navigate into the structure.

Visitors may be shocked by the bright appearance of the mill. Rest assured, time and weather will transform the mill back to its familiar gray appearance.
