Saturday crash near South Fork sends 3 to the hospital

West Plains – A head-on collision sent three people to the hospital shortly after noon on Saturday, June 26, three miles west of South Fork. 

A westbound 2009 Ford Mustang driven by Ronald Koziol, 65 of Mountain Home, Ar, crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound 2018 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Randy Moran, 65 of Koshkonong. After the initial impact, the Mustang continued to travel and strike a 1999 Fleetwood motor home driven by Ronnie Doss, 78 of West Plains.

The Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Colorado were totaled and the Fleetwood received minor damage. Koziol suffered serious injuries and was flown to Cox South in Springfield. Moran had moderate injuries, and his passenger, Shirley Moran, 64 of Koshkonong, suffered serious injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment. Doss did not report of injuries. All involved were wearing safety devices.
