Several Organizations Pitch in to Assist After Sunday Tornado Damages Mountain View

Mountain View, MO. – After the damaging tornado that struck the city of Mountain View in Howell County on Sunday, May 26th, several organizations have stepped in to assist the people there get back on their feet in a huge show of compassion. This includes some businesses who have begun fundraising, or even providing free labor.

One business is Ozark Valley Plumbing, which is offering free labor for plumbing needs for families affected by the storms that took place. They are also taking donations for diapers, baby bottles, and other infant supplies to distribute to those who need it.

Roscoe T’s BBQ in Mountain View is holding a fundraising period for now, where 10% of all their sales will go to local families who lost their homes.

The City of Mountain View has also opened the City Brush Dump for natural waste produced by the storms, located on County Road 2100. It is open from 9am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.

The Convoy of Hope showed up yesterday in Mountain View, and distributed various items to assist in post-storm cleanup, containing tools, drinks, totes, cleaning supplies and hygiene kits.

Lastly, as stated in a previous article, the First Baptist Church in Mountain View has announced that they are doing volunteer coordination for those who wish to pitch in on citywide cleanup.
