OZARK ACRES, Ark. — A 23-year-old man wanted in South Carolina on an attempted murder charge was arrested Thursday afternoon on August 21, 2025, in Sharp County.
The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office reports that the U.S. Marshals Service notified them just after noon that Mickey Ahititt Naphoxay, of Williford, Arkansas, could be hiding in the Ozark Acres area. Deputies responded quickly, and at approximately 1:40 p.m., Marshals located Naphoxay in a camper and took him into custody without incident.
Naphoxay was transported to the Sharp County Detention Center, where he is being held pending extradition back to South Carolina. Authorities say the arrest is related to a 2022 attempted murder case in Union, South Carolina.
Officials say there were no reported injuries during the arrest, and the investigation remains ongoing.
