Short Foot-Chase Leads to Arrest Near Pottersville

Pottersville, MO. – On October 14th, a Howell County Deputy initiated a traffic stop that ended in a chase and an arrest.

This incident began as Deputy Seth Smith initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle near Pottersville, MO, on County Road 6420.

After brief contact with the male rider, a chase began, and ended when Reserve Deputy Shaun Duggins successfully apprehended the male.

The apprehended subject was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, and a 9mm handgun. He was identified as Jason Ledbetter of West Plains, who had active charges for Non-Support and Driving While Revoked or Suspended.

Additional pending charges from this event include Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
