Texas County Memorial Hospital (TCMH) has named Christian Neal, a certified nursing assistant in the medical-surgical department, as the recipient of the 2025 Sunflower Award.
The annual award honors CNAs, emergency department technicians, and surgical technicians who demonstrate exceptional compassion, service, and dedication while supporting TCMH’s mission of excellence in a non-nursing role.
Neal, of Raymondville, joined TCMH in December 2024 and was selected from a group of outstanding nominees, including Haley Beavers, Liliana Amick, Jennifer Hack, Bonnie Evans, Kassie Rogers, Cynthia Robinson, and Taylor Burch. Each nominee was recognized for their contributions to patient care and teamwork.
Neal was nominated twice—once by a patient, Robin, who praised his respectful demeanor and professionalism, and once by Debbie, the wife of a patient, who highlighted his consistent attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond.
Neal received a sunflower pin, a certificate, and a bouquet of fresh sunflowers. Nominations for the Sunflower Award are accepted throughout the year and may be submitted by patients, family members, or staff. The award is presented annually to one outstanding non-nursing team member.
