Texas County Man Arrested for Domestic Assault

On Wednesday May 7th, the Texas County Sherriff’s Department was called to a domestic abuse case where Nathan Jones was arrested. According to the probable cause statement,  the disturbance happened when the accused was being verbally aggressive with his nephew and another victim about work the nephew had done on the well.  He began pushing the victim and a physical altercation happen when the victim attempted to call dispatch.  Victim two left and Nathan told victim one that he would kill him and burn the house down so there wouldn’t be any witnesses.  Law enforcement made contact with Nathan and he initially would speak with them. Later he briefly opened the door to the residence to speak with law enforcement then closed the door again.  He was advised that the door would be breached if he did not open it. He was placed under arrest and was not compliant until a taser was drawn.  He is being held with a bond of $100,000.  He has been charged with Domestic Assault and 1st degree endangering the welfare of a child.
