Texas County Man Charged After Threatening Nursing Home

Texas County authorities placed a local care facility on full lockdown after a series of threatening phone calls from a man demanding to speak with his ex‑girlfriend.

According to law enforcement, the incident occurred on November 19, 2025, at approximately 10:58 p.m., when Texas County 911 Dispatch reported that Jacob Evans had repeatedly called a nursing facility and made violent threats toward staff.

A Licensed Practical Nurse told responding officers that Evans had called the facility eleven times within a 30‑minute period. During the calls, Evans allegedly claimed he was outside the building and threatened to kill everyone inside if he was not allowed to speak with his ex‑girlfriend, a nursing assistant employed at the facility.

While officers were interviewing staff, Evans called again. An officer answered the phone, identified himself, and warned Evans that continued calls would constitute harassment. Evans then allegedly stated that he had killed his ex‑girlfriend’s dog and would kill the officer and anyone who got in his way if he was not allowed to speak with her.

The victim became visibly distressed upon hearing the threat and arranged to stay elsewhere with her children out of fear for their safety.

Out of concern for the forty residents and three staff members on duty, the facility was placed on full lockdown until officers confirmed Evans was not in the area.

A warrant was issued on December 23rd for a charge of 1st Degree Terrorist Threat.
