An Oregon County woman faces multiple felony charges following a disturbance and vehicle crash in Thayer on December 4.
According to a probable cause statement filed by the Thayer Police Department, officers responded to reports of an intoxicated driver after a verbal dispute. The suspect, identified as Audrey Marie Mullins, was later found behind the wheel of a blue Ford Fusion that had struck a city water meter and caused extensive property damage at a nearby building.
Police say Mullins resisted repeated commands to exit the vehicle, requiring officers to physically remove her. During transport, she allegedly kicked and attempted to headbutt officers, leading to the use of a Taser to gain compliance.
Investigators determined the vehicle caused significant damage, including more than $6,000 to a 2005 Saab, as well as damage to a building and equipment. Mullins was reported to have slurred speech, smelled strongly of alcohol, and has prior DWI charges.
She is charged with first-degree property damage, driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender, felony resisting arrest, driving while revoked, and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
Mullins was booked into the Oregon County Jail following the incident.
