According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol a 23-year-old Springfield man crossed the centerline of Highway 14, west of O Highway, in a 2024 Pontiac Grand Am and struck a 1999 Ram 3500 driven by a 80-year-old Seymour man.
Both drivers sustained serious injuries in the crash, the Springfield man was airlifted and the 80-year-old Seymour man was transported by ambulance to Cox South in Springfield. A 2-year-old passenger in the Grand am was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
