Two Deaths Announced Out of South Central Correctional Center

Licking, MO. – Two more deaths have been announced from the South Central Correctional Center in Licking, Missouri.

The first death is listed as being James Schnick, a 73-year-old man who was serving multiple life sentences for six counts of 1st Degree Murder for a case in the 80’s where he had reportedly shot and killed multiple family members from Benton and Webster counties. Time of death is listed as being at 9:30am on Saturday, May 11th. On this death, it is said that an autopsy will be conducted.

The second death is listed as Calvin Bowens, a 61-year-old man serving a 15-year sentence for one count of 1st Degree Child Molestation from the St. Louis area with initial incarceration time being listed as September of 2012. Bowens’ time of death is listed as 6:36am on Sunday, May 12th. This report states he died of apparent natural causes.
