Edgar Springs, MO. – Two drivers, one from West Plains, have been seriously injured in a head-on crash in Phelps County.
This crash took place yesterday, December 29th at around 6:48am, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The 48-year-old West Plains resident was driving a Chevy Silverado on US 63 near Edgar Springs when an 18-year-old driver from Plattsburgh, New York crossed the center of the road and struck the Silverado head-on with his Ford Focus.
Both vehicles were totaled, and both drivers were seriously injured. Air ambulance serivceswere used to transport both individuals to separate hospitals for further treatment.
The teen was taken to Cox in Springfield, and the West Plains driver to Phelps Health in Rolla.
