A Doniphan man and an Ellsinore woman were seriously injured late Friday in a rollover crash north of Ellsinore, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash happened at 10:25 p.m. on Highway V, three miles north of Ellsinore. A 34‑year‑old Doniphan man was driving a 2005 Toyota Tundra northbound when the truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and overcorrected. The vehicle then lost control, went off the right side again, struck an embankment, and overturned.
The driver suffered serious injuries and was flown to St. Louis University Hospital. A 31‑year‑old female passenger from Ellsinore sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
The driver is being charged with DWI with physical injury, Failure to maintain right half of the roadway resulting in a crash and no seatbelt.
