Both lanes of traffic were temporarily shut down on Monday afternoon two miles west of West Plains on Highway 160 and County Road 8010 due to a two vehicle accident.
The accident occurred when a 26-year-old man from West Plains attempted to make a left hand turn in a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado and failed to yield to an oncoming 2023 Toyota Highlander driven by a 26-year-old Dora woman causing the Highlander to strike the Colorado in the drivers side door.
The West Plains man sustained minor injuries and the Dora woman sustained moderate injuries, both were taken to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment.
