A 50-year-old Vanzant woman was seriously injured in a Thursday morning accident in Douglas County.
The accident occurred when she ran off the roadway in a 2017 Ford edge, struck a culvert, became airborne and overturned.

She was transported to Mercy in Springfield by air ambulance. The accident happened on EE Highway one-half mile off of Highway 76.
