West Plains, MO. – A Peace Valley man with outstanding warrants was arrested Friday afternoon by the Howell County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO). Anthony Wayne Phillips had active warrants for felony possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon, as well as two misdemeanor charges for non-support and two traffic violations.
Three members of the HCSO went to serve Phillips on January 20th at his residence on County Road 3850 in the Peace Valley area. At roughly 4:46 p.m., the deputies made contact with the wanted man, who attempted to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended a short time later and taken to the Howell County Adult Detention Center.
He is currently being held on outstanding warrants out of West Plains Police Department and Howell County. Phillips was also charged as a result to this incident with resisting/interfering with arrest.
