Terry Hampton of the West Plains Arts Alliance gives us her update on upcoming arts events in the West Plains Community.
West Plains Arts Alliance members, the West Plains Council on the Arts (WPCA) and the Harlin Museum of West Plains (Harlin), will bring renowned artist Spencer Meagher to town for a three-day plein air workshop. The workshop will be held 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily August 25, 26 and 27, 2022. Thursday and Friday will begin at the pavilion at Galloway Creek Nature Park, and Saturday’s workshop will be held at Twin Bridges.
The West Plains Council on the Arts (WPCA) and Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) have partnered to bring quarterly art displays to the incubator. Local artist Garrett Melby’s works will be featured inside OzSBI’s first floor July 1 through the end of September 2022. Visitors may view the display at the incubator during OzSBI’s business hours, anytime between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
