West Plains, Mo. – The Broadway Branch of West Plains Bank and Trust Company, located at 318 W. Broadway, West Plains, Mo., is open to serve customers following an early morning incident. Quick action by the West Plains Police Department resulted in the apprehension of a suspect who attempted entry into the branch, according to West Plains Bank and Trust Company President/Chief Executive Officer David M. Gohn.
“The incident occurred in the early morning hours, before any employees had reported to work,” Gohn said. “Fortunately, no one was hurt and there was only minimal damage to a door. We appreciate the police department’s swift response, which enabled us to quickly open to serve customers.”
West Plains Bank and Trust Company opened its doors to customers in 1883, making it the oldest continually operating business in the area. With more than 137 years of service to the local region, total assets of West Plains Bank and Trust Company have grown to more than $390 million with six locations and a loan production office.
