West Plains Juvenile Seriously Injured on Highway K

West Plains, MO. – One juvenile West Plains resident has been inflicted with serious injuries after an overturn crash that occurred on Monday, October 30th.

This crash appears to be the result of a near-crash on Highway K, 3 miles West of West Plains. Lacy Hale, a 36-year-old West Plains resident, was driving a Jeep Wrangler Eastbound at the time of the accident, 5:10 p.m. Hale reportedly swerved to miss a vehicle in the roadway, which caused her to go off the road. The vehicle was extensively damaged when it overturned.

The driver was not injured in the accident, but a 12-year-old male occupant was. The classification of injuries is listed as serious, and an air ambulance was deployed to transport the child to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.

Investigation into this accident was performed by Master Sergeant T.W. Meyer of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
