A West Plains man is facing multiple felony charges after police say a series of threatening encounters culminated in his arrest on Thursday. According to a probable cause statement, the victim told officers that Raymond Lee Kuntz had been sending constant threatening text messages causing significant emotional distress .
The victim also reported that Kuntz had been following her for several days. On February 18, she said he confronted her at a gas station, opened her passenger door, and told her to drive to a remote area “because I’m going to murder you.” She stated he then grabbed her by the throat and spit in her face before leaving the scene .
The next day, the victim reported another confrontation at Snappy East in West Plains, where Kuntz allegedly screamed at her and followed her vehicle. Officers later located Kuntz and placed him under arrest for Domestic Assault 3rd Degree, Stalking 1st Degree, and Harassment 1st Degree. During booking, police say they found a plastic wrapper containing a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine .
His bond is set at $25,000.
