On Sunday the West Plains Police Department responded to a call for domestic abuse and arrested Joseph Jure on multiple counts. According to the probable cause statement Jure had passed out on his back porch due to consumption of alcohol, after waking up he went to his and his girlfriends bedroom where he began to call her derogatory names, he then allegedly slapped his girlfriend multiple times and proceeded to choke her. Another household member attempted to step in and Jure knocked them into a glass coffee table causing injuries. While being arrested Jure would not comply which resulted in a resisting arrest charge. Joseph Jure is being charged with kidnapping 2nd degree, two counts of 3rd degree domestic assault and resisting arrest.
