West Plains, MO. – A West Plains teen was injured in a one vehicle accident last night on US Highway 63. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred at 10:45 p.m. on May 5, four miles south of West Plains on Highway 63.
A southbound 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 17-year old male traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a telephone box before becoming airborne and striking a fence post.

The juvenile had been wearing a safety device and suffered minor injuries in the crash. He was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment. The Dodge suffered from extensive damage.
