West Plains Train Track Overpass Construction Expected to Begin Late ’22, Early ’23

West Plains, MO. – According to information gained from speaking to City Planner Emily Gibson at City Hall, construction of a long-desired feature of West Plains is to begin sometime close to the end of this year, or early next.

The project is an overpass for the train tracks that cut through the middle of West Plains. Commuters who work in the West Plains area would likely know of the frustration of being caught behind a train, but with this construction, the hope is that this thing will be a moment of the past.
