On Saturday the West Plains Police Department responded to a call of Domestic Assault on Paula Drive in West Plains. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the suspect who admitted to striking the victim in the face causing a laceration above the right eye after a verbal altercation.
The assault allegedly started on South Hill Street as the victim was a passenger in the suspects vehicle. The probable cause statement indicates the suspect and victim have been in a past romantic relationship and have a child together.

Jessalynn Hoehler is charged with Domestic Assault 3rd Degree. She has a bond of $5,000 set and ordered to have no contact with the victim.
