Willow Springs Announces Change in July 4th Parade Route and Staging Area

The Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce is reminding residents and participants of an important change to this year’s July 4th Parade route and staging area. The parade will return to its original route, starting at Ferguson Street and ending at Booster Field—a reversal of the more recent direction.

The change was prompted by safety concerns and limited space at Booster Field, which has traditionally served as the staging area. Parade participants are now asked to enter Ferguson Street from 10th Street and stage in the gravel lot across from the gym, with lineup beginning at 9 a.m. on the morning of the parade.

Those walking or riding in the parade but not driving are encouraged to park at the City Pool and walk to the lineup area to help reduce traffic congestion.

“As our beloved hometown tradition has grown, so has the need for more space,” the Chamber noted, asking for community patience during this transition.

Parade entry is free and open to all families, groups, clubs, churches, and especially veterans. Entry forms are available online or can be picked up at the Chamber office, Robert Hollis Shelter Insurance, Main Street Wellness Center, or Simmons Bank – Willow Springs.
