Woman Receives Child Endangerment and Possession Charges in Ozark County

Lisa Wilson, 34, of Walnut Grove, Missouri, was arrested after deputies responded to reports of her erratic behavior and two young children left unattended in dangerous heat at Sunburst Ranch Campsite T1.

Deputies found Wilson lying under a truck, confused and displaying signs of drug influence. Her two children had locked themselves in a non-air-conditioned bathroom, crying and showing signs of heat exposure in 100°F temperatures with 94% humidity.

A search of Wilson’s vehicle, aided by K9 Karo, revealed alprazolam pills and methamphetamine residue. Wilson admitted to past meth use but denied recent consumption.

Children’s Division placed the juveniles in state custody for safety. Wilson was taken to the Ozark County Sheriff’s Department. She is charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child 1st Degree, as well as two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
