Wright County, MO. – The Wright County Sheriff’s Office recently issued a statement on five separate cases in June where drivers were discovered with methamphetamine.

On June 1st, Phillip Dossett was arrested while in Norwood after the dispatched K9 Unit Alex alerted to meth in his vehicle.

On June 6th at roughly 11:12pm, a traffic stop on Highway E led to the arrest of James Vanmuysen of Springfield, who was found with roughly 37.77 grams of meth as well as various drug paraphernalia and a firearm.

On June 7th at around 3:05am, Scott Vass of Ellsinore was charged after K9 Alex alerted to methamphetamine while inspecting a suspicious vehicle in Norwood.
A fourth arrest occurred on June 9th during a traffic stop on Highway 60 around Mansfield. Paul Caruso of Mansfield was arrested after a vehicle search led to the discovery of meth.

Lastly, on June 17th, at around 1:42, Helen Gowen of Blairestown, MO was arrested for possession of meth after a traffic stop on Eastbound Highway 60 in Mountain Grove.
