Wright County Asks for Help in Supporting “Shop With a Hero” Program for 2025

Mountain Grove, MO. – The Wright County Sheriff’s Office took to social media yesterday, stating that this year’s Shop With a Hero Program is struggling to gain traction and may not take place due to a lack of donations. The official announcement is included below.

Shop With a Hero Update – Wright County Needs Your Help

The Mountain Grove Police Department’s Shop With a Hero program is one of the most meaningful traditions we have for supporting kids right here in Wright County. This isn’t just a city program—it benefits children across our entire county, and every year it brings hope, joy, and connection between local youth and the first responders who serve them.

Unfortunately, we are having to delay the selection of this year’s participating children because we simply do not have enough donations to move forward.

This delay means families in need are left waiting—and time is running short.

If you or your business are able, please consider donating as soon as possible. Every single contribution, no matter the size, directly impacts Wright County kids who depend on this program to have a brighter Christmas season.

Let’s pull together as a community and show our kids that Wright County shows up for them.

Donations can be made at the MGPD, Mountain Grove City Hall or directly to me and I will take your donation to Mountain Grove City Hall.

Thank you all for your continued generosity and care for our county’s children.
