West Plains, MO – After a week of community voting, the results are in—and Zootopia has been selected as the feature film for this summer’s Family Movie Night in the Park, hosted by West Plains Parks & Recreation.
The event is set to take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Carmical Field, and promises to be an evening full of fun, laughter, and family-friendly entertainment under the stars.
The animated favorite, Zootopia, follows rookie bunny cop Judy Hopps and sly fox Nick Wilde as they team up to uncover a mystery in a bustling metropolis where animals of all kinds live together. Known for its humor, heart, and important messages, the film is a crowd-pleaser for all ages.
West Plains Parks & Recreation invited community members to vote on this year’s film, and Zootopia came out on top. The movie night is part of the city’s ongoing effort to offer accessible, family-oriented events that bring neighbors together in a fun, safe environment.
Admission is free, and guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and their favorite snacks. Concessions may also be available on-site.
