Funeral services for Bonnie Jean Hurst, Age 95 of Bradleyville, Missouri will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri, with burial following in the Patterson Cemetery, Bradleyville, Missouri. Visitation will be prior to the service at 12:00 P.M. Officiating will be Duffy Mooney. Memorials may be made to the Patterson Cemetery.
Bonnie Jean Hurst, 95 years, 5 months, 4 days old, passed away on January 18, 2026, at her home, with her family by her side.
Bonnie was born August 14, 1930 in Bradleyville, Missouri, to Elmer and Lenora (James) Morgan.
On November 16, 1946, Bonnie and Ray Hurst were united in marriage in Taneyville, Missouri, and they were blessed with two daughters, Donna and Becky.
She worked at Bradleyville school in the cafeteria for several years. Bonnie also helped with raising all of her kids and grandkids. In addition, she babysat the Norwine boys. Bonnie helped Ray milk cows on the farm and everything a farm needed she was there. She enjoyed cooking, and she made the best fried chicken.
Bonnie was a Christian and a member of the Bradleyville Church of Christ. She loved to sing at church. Bonnie was dedicated to her Lord and her family. Her legacy of Love will live on in her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ray in 2023; her son-in-law, Wayne Grigg; her siblings, Carl Morgan, Garland Morgan, and Sylvia Preston.
Bonnie is survived by her two daughters, Donna Grigg and Becky and Terry Pitts; grandchildren, Evelyn and Pat Cannon, Rhonda and Greg Smoot, Brian Hurst, Leslie and Heston Fish, Karen and Eric Wright; great grandchildren, Tyler Gimlin, Amanda Gimlin, Dawson Fish, Karter Fish, Owen and Colin Wright; many nieces,nephews, and extended relatives and friends.
