Braden Lee Frye, age 17, was called home on May 1, 2026, where he was reunited in Heaven with his beloved Paw-Paw Richard. He was born on June 15, 2008, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Jim and Brenda (Miller) Frye.
Braden will be remembered as a hardworking, loving, and fiercely loyal young man who never met a stranger. He had a natural way of connecting with people and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Whether he was tinkering with small engines, working on farm equipment, or learning something new, Braden was always curious and eager to figure things out. He took pride in every job he did—from mowing yards to working alongside his dad and spending time on the farm with his Paw-Paw.
Braden had a playful spirit and a sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes. He especially loved picking on his momma and his sister Mylie, always thinking up his next ornery move. Whether teasing or joking, he brought laughter and energy into their home.
He shared a special and unbreakable bond with his brother, Grant. The two were more than brothers—they were best friends, bunkmates, and lifelong teammates, sharing everything from clothes and shoes to countless memories on the basketball court and growing up side by side.
Braden’s relationship with his sister Mylie grew into something truly special. He became her protector, her confidant, and the keeper of her secrets. Together, they made memories driving backroads with friends and simply enjoying life.
Braden and his Paw-Paw Richard were kindred spirits, sharing a love for westerns, guns, and knives, always searching for their next trade or addition. Some of his favorite moments were spent at deer camp with Paw-Paw Richard and the “old-timers,” a tradition he looked forward to every year.
He loved the outdoors—hay season, deer and turkey hunting, riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes, and gathering around bonfires with friends. Braden was always willing to bring others along, especially if they were eager to learn.
In the past year, Braden found joy in his time at VoTech, where he built friendships and looked forward to each day. He also cherished summer traditions, especially float trips and lake days with James and Buddy’s families.
Braden held a special place in his heart for his grandparents. He loved visiting and chatting with Grandma Cindy, especially during pancake nights, and took pride in the trust Grandpa Clint showed when he let Braden take the wheel of the semi. He also shared a meaningful bond with his Grandma Nancy, cherishing the time and love they shared together playing board games.
He also cherished time with his Aunt Marsha and Uncle Bobby, along with his cousins Brantlee, Krayton, and Braxton. Whether at gatherings or just being together, there was always laughter, joking, and a little horsing around—moments his family will always remember.
Above all, Braden had a love for Jesus. His faith was personal and meaningful, and he carried a quiet but strong connection to God through prayer and belief.
Braden’s life, though far too short, was full of laughter, hard work, adventure, and deep love for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, joy, and unforgettable memories that will be cherished forever.
Braden was preceded in death by his beloved Paw-Paw, Richard. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Brenda (Miller) Frye; his sister, Mylie; his brother, Grant; his grandparents, Nancy, Cindy, Clint & Jessica, and Lisa & Billy; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and a community that will forever cherish his memory.
