Charlotte Darlene Groves passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2026, at 91. She was born January 14, 1935, in Tigrett, Tennessee, the daughter of John Benjamin Glover and Zella Gertrude Glover of Southtown, Tennessee.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Groves, with whom she shared more than 40 years of marriage in their adopted home of Willow Springs, Missouri. She leaves behind a cherished step-son, Steven Groves; daughter-in-law, Cheri Groves, both of Rolla, Missouri; her beloved daughter, Sondra Booker, of Licking, Missouri; and a cherished granddaughter, Sydnee. Additionally, she is missed by her beloved feline companion, Elmer.
Charlotte had a profound love for family histories; hers, theirs, all were of great importance to her. She dedicated a significant portion of her life to researching and writing histories of people and places, and some of her legacy lives on in her writings. She will be deeply missed by many, but none more than her family.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs, Missouri.
