Christina Holland

Christina Rose Brown Holland, lovingly known as Tina, was born on July 18, 1965, to Dale and Sharon Brown in Moline, Illinois and entered heaven on January 1, 2025. Tina was the eldest and shortest of four siblings, a role she embraced with pride and humor, often reminding her younger brother and sisters of her seniority.

Tina had a deep love for reading, learning, solving puzzles, and caring for babies. Her nurturing spirit and inquisitive mind were evident in everything she did. Tina attended Fletcher Christian Academy in Axtell, Nebraska, and pursued higher education in Business at a college in Independence, Kansas.

Tina shared her life with her former spouse, Thomas J. Holland, and together they had six children. Tragically, two of their children, Steven and Ginger, passed away during childbirth. Despite life’s challenges, Tina’s unwavering dedication to her family shone brightly. She prioritized, to the best of her ability, the well-being of her children and, even during her final days, could be heard praying for them and expressing her love and concern.

Throughout her career, Tina worked at Butler Carpet, West Plains Truss, and Doctors Urgent Care, all located in West Plains, Missouri. Her professional life was cut short when she became disabled, but her resilience and spirit remained steadfast. For several years, Tina courageously battled kidney disease, enduring dialysis with grace and strength. She would want Foresenius Kidney Care to know that she viewed them as family.

Tina deeply appreciated the love and support of her family, who cared for her and her children during her illness. Her gratitude for their presence in her life was boundless. Tina attended Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene.

Christina Rose Brown Holland is survived by her four beloved children: Christina R. Holland McKenna, Elaine J. Holland, Thomas J. Holland II, and Jeffrey T. Holland. Her nine beloved grandchildren Isaac, Isaiah, Naomi, Elisha, Emma, Kingsley, Hayden, Levi and Lilah. She also leaves behind her devoted parents, Dale and Sharon (Hanslip) Brown; her siblings, Celeste Brown Williams and husband Gregory of West Plains, Missouri; Rodney Brown of Anchorage, Alaska; and Julia Brown Fleener and husband Tim of Belleville, Wisconsin. She has many nieces and nephews whom she inquired often about.

Tina now rests peacefully, reunited with her two precious babies, Steven and Ginger; her cousins Virginia Hanslip and Carolyn Brown Wilkes; and numerous aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Tina’s family and friends will forever cherish her loving spirit and enduring strength. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
