Funeral Services for Dalta Ladonna Sandridge, Age 73 of Thayer, Missouri will take place on Sunday, December 14th, 2025 at The Thayer Freewill Baptist Church, Thayer, Missouri.
Dalta LaDonna Sandridge, 74, of Thayer, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on November 24, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born at home in Myrtle, Missouri, on March 30, 1951, and spent most of her life right where her heart always was—in Thayer.
If you ever needed your hair done, a good meal, or a reason to laugh, LaDonna was your girl. She was a hairdresser for over 50 years, faithfully serving the Thayer community one head of hair and one good conversation at a time. Sitting in her chair meant you left looking better and probably knowing everyone’s business too.
LaDonna loved cooking and trying new foods, and nobody ever left her house hungry. She was also a proud and devoted Bobcats fan, cheering faithfully for the Thayer Bobcats, even continuing to support them while she was in the hospital. Ballgames, grandbaby milestones, and family moments were never missed—she would drive three hours just to have breakfast with her grandkids without a second thought.
She was happiest watching her grandchildren play basketball, crocheting something special, or being surrounded by her family—usually doing all three at once. If “never too busy” were a person, it was LaDonna.
She is survived by her three daughters:
Reshaya and partner Josh Peck,
Shawna and partner Lela,
Shelia and her husband Michael Bernard.
She was the proud Meme of Sydney, Levi, Noah, Lexus, Rebekah, Robert, and Lexi, and the cherished great-grandmother of Rose, Benjamin, Holly, and Ember—all of whom were her greatest joys.
She is also survived by her loving mother, Ina Bostic, her sister Paula White and husband Charlie, and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
LaDonna will be remembered for her big heart, busy hands, quick wit, and endless love for her family. Her kitchen was always open, her door was always unlocked, and her laughter was always nearby. Thayer won’t be quite as bright without her—but heaven definitely just got a first-class hairstylist and one very loud Bobcats fan.
