David Don Johnston Sr.

David J. Johnston Sr., a beloved father and grandfather, passed away at his home in Montauk, Missouri, on December 3, 2025. He was 83 years old.

Born on April 4, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, David was the son of Alvin and Marie Johnston. He spent his life sharing his love for the outdoors.

David’s spirit was truly rooted in the Missouri countryside. While he was a proud employee of the Missouri Department of Conservation at the Montauk Fish Hatchery until his retirement, his heart belonged to his farm. He found immense joy and satisfaction in raising his cattle, spending long days in the hay fields, and always working on those ole John Deere tractors. These pursuits were not just hobbies, but a reflection of his enduring dedication and hard-working nature.
