David Eugene Baird

David, known as “Mr. Baird” by all who knew him in his small town of Willow Springs, Missouri, was a man of quiet strength and simple values. He lived a humble life marked by hard work, kindness, and unwavering dedication to the people around him.

For nearly 30 years, David was a devoted factory worker, providing for his family with steady determination. After his retirement, he enjoyed working at the Willow Springs golf course and tending to his farm animals. He was a true servant at heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether it was a neighbor, a friend, or a stranger, David found joy in being there for others. He was a proud 1969 graduate of Fort Osage High School where he played baseball, basketball, and football. David was an avid sports fan and rarely missed watching the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs.

Above all, he was a loyal friend and a loving family man. His greatest pride was his family, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Baird and Opal Prettyman and sister Debbie.

He is survived by his wife, Questa Sue; his brother, Larry Baird (Diana) of Independence, Missouri; his son, Greg Baird (Rhonda) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and his daughter, Kelly Dennie (Rob) of Benton, Louisiana.

He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Kaylee, Landon, and Addison Baird, Emma Kate and Coleman Dennie, nephews Travis and Trenton Baird, as well as his twin great-grandsons, Bridge and Bowen, who brought him immense pride and joy. David will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, and the countless lives he touched through his generosity and love.
