Funeral Services for David Leroy Henry, Age 72 of Mountain View, Missouri will be held on Friday, April 10th, 2026 at The Yarber Mortuary, Mountain-View, Missouri, beginning at 2:00 PM. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place in The Mount Zion-Poe Hill Cemetery, Pomona, Missouri.
David Leroy Henry, 72, of Mountain View, Missouri, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 4, 2026, surrounded by the comfort of familiar surroundings.
Born on June 20, 1953, in Prosser, Washington, David lived a life defined by his hardworking nature, kindness, quiet demeanor, and subtle sense of humor. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, and his presence brought comfort and joy to those who knew him.
David spent much of his working years employed at Angelica and Jasper, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication. Outside of work, he especially enjoyed working outdoors and fishing, often spending time with friends at local streams and lakes. These moments brought him great joy and allowed him to connect with nature. He had a deep appreciation for life and every opportunity to experience and share joy with those around him.
He is survived by his son, John David Henry (Kevin) of Brookline, MO; his granddaughter, Lydia Henry of Brookline, MO; his brother, Norman Jay Henry (Viola) of Mountain View, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jody Jay and Thelma Henry; his grandparents, Roland and Matilda Henry, Blanche Lourance, and Edgar Lourance; and his nephew, Tracy Jay Henry.
David’s love for life, his care for others, and his quiet joy in the everyday moments—especially time spent outdoors and fishing with friends—will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
