Delena “Babs” Proctor went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2024 in her home in Mtn. Grove at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 8 days. She was born on July 21, 1940 in Vera Cruz, MO the daughter of Rexford and Nellie “Edna” (Clinton) Linder.
Delena graduated from Buffalo Iowa High School in 1958 and was a homemaker and held various jobs throughout the years; she was best known for her Mary Kaye sales. She was united in marriage to Joe Proctor on September 22, 1980.
Delena attended Calvary Temple Church as long as her health would allow. She loved the Lord with her whole heart. She loved going for drives in the spring to look at the blooming dogwood trees; but most of all she loved her family dearly and spent as much time talking to or with her family as she could. Delena always had a radio playing Gospel music throughout her house and loved anything with the color blue. Only she would have blue walls and carpet throughout her house.
Delena was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Edna Linder; her husband, Joe; a sister, Jane Linder; her son, Farren Acra and a nephew, Ryan Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Shelia Long and husband, Lynn of Mtn. Grove; four grandchildren, Kelsey Long, Kayla Acra and Kara Acra all of Springfield and Kevin Fleetwood and wife, Ashley of Cabool; six great grandchildren, Kassidy Fleetwood of Mtn. Grove, Kevin, Taylor and Gracie Fleetwood of Ava, Kadin Fleetwood of Harrison, AR and Paysley Ellingwood of Cabool; three great great grandchildren, Layla and Paisley Rogers and Jamyson Norwood of Mtn. Grove; one brother, Butch Linder and wife, Joyce and sister, Ruby Smith all of Ava; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many other friends and loved ones who will miss her dearly.
