Dickey Dean Spence, a resident of Willow Springs, MO passed away at his home on Monday, February 3, 2025. He was born September 2, 1961, in Willow Springs to Clemet and Betty Lee (McKee) Spence and was 63 years old.
Dickey graduated from Willow Springs High School and spent his life in Willow Springs. He found work at Ozark Shelter Industries in Pomona, MO. Dickey was a huge sports fan both watching and competing and later coaching. He competed in the Special Olympics, even becoming a 1997 SOMO Hall of Famer.
Dickey was preceded in death by his parents, Clemet and Betty; two brothers, Nickey and Mickey; and his sister, Vickey.
He is survived by his brother, Rick; 4 nephews, 1 niece, 3 grand nieces, and 2 grand nephews; he is further survived by many cousins and his beloved cats.
The family requests any donations or memorials be made out in Dickey’s name to the Missouri Special Olympics.
