Cremation arrangements for Donna Garrett, Age 74 of Mountain View, Missouri were under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home, Summersville, Missouri. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Donna Jo Garrett, daughter of Leo Ellison and Vesta Martin Ellison, was born on March 20, 1951, in Fort Payne, Alabama, and passed away on August 18, 2025, at her daughter Trisha Clover’s home in Mountain View, Missouri, at the age of 74.
On September 18, 1969, Donna was united in marriage to George Bryant, and to this union three children were born: Timothy Bryant, Tonya Sechrest, and Terry Bryant. Donna later married Gene Garrett on July 3, 1983, and together they welcomed Trisha Clover to the family.
Donna was born in Alabama and grew up in Northwest Indiana. She attended school there, including beauty school, before moving to Missouri in 1983, where she made her home for the rest of her life.
She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, and deer hunting. Donna treasured spending time with her family and friends and was known as a social butterfly, especially at Main Street in Birch Tree. She also cherished traveling to Alabama and Indiana to visit loved ones.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Vesta Ellison; her two ex-husbands, George Bryant and Gene Garrett; and a son-in-law, Jack Sechrest.
She is survived by her four children: Timothy (Amanda) Bryant of Birch Tree, Tonya Sechrest of West Plains, Terry (Jennifer) Bryant of Schererville, Indiana, and Trisha (Rob) Clover of Mountain View; twelve grandchildren: Zachary (Ashlynn) Bryant, Dakota Sechrest, Ryder Sechrest, Rene Sechrest, Tim Heath, Logan Baker, Celeste Baker, Abigail Clover, Dani Bryant, Nick Bryant, Dessa Bryant, Anthony Blasdell and Sajh Blasdell; and four great-grandchildren: Beckham Jack Bryant, Brycen, Rylynn, and Evalyn Sechrest.
Donna’s love for family, her adventurous spirit, and her warm personality will be remembered by all who knew her.
