Elias Luke Sleep was born December 20, 2025, to Jack and Savannah Sleep, at 8 pounds, 3 ounces, and 21 inches long; a strong baby boy born at home with no complications. He was already a trickster, and he made his parents think he was going to be early. He just gave them a false alarm about a week before he was born, making Savannah very impatient and sad.
He was a beautiful boy with blue eyes and brown hair. Elias was quite the little foodie and loved to nurse, and he was definitely a very fat and happy little boy. He loved his first bath. During his bath, he didn’t cry at all. One thing that he didn’t care for was wearing hats, and he didn’t hesitate in letting you know that. He didn’t like how they would slide down and cover his eyes. Recently, he had become very active and was always moving and jumping. He liked looking around and was very curious about his surroundings. Elias was even starting to smile and stick his tongue out. He was showing his mom and dad how deeply he loved them. He would follow them around with his eyes and was extremely excited when he was handed back to his parents. They will always carry the deep bond that they shared together.
Elias was blessed to have a large extended family, and he received lots of love from uncles, aunts, and grandparents. He was a very popular little dude. He was loved so much during his short time on this earth, and he will forever be held dear in the hearts of his parents. Elias is now with Jesus, and he is always fully fed and happy as a clam. We will all meet him again one day and shower him with hugs. We should always remember him and strive to love one another deeply every day, just like Elias.
Elias was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Guy and Thelma Sleep.
He is survived by his parents, Jack and Savannah Sleep, his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Joy Sleep, his maternal grandmother, Charity Haney, three great-grandparents, Glenda Smith, David Compton, and Katy Compton, one great-great-grandmother, Kay Compton, eight uncles, Samuel Sleep, Earnest Sleep, Linus Sleep, Ari Sleep, Beni Sleep, Nikolaus Shafer and wife, Emily, Phillip Haney, and Joshua Haney, nine aunts, Patience Penn and husband, Matthias, Grace Slack and husband, Jason, Chalice Lowen and husband, David, Jerusha Sleep, Tzipia Sleep, Bethany Shafer, Breannah Shafer, Kerriannah Shafer, and Lilliannah Shafer, eight cousins, Fiona, Angelica, Sterling, Rafe, Walter, Valor, Tobias, and Jocelyn, many great-uncles, great-aunts, and other extended family and friends.
