Funeral Services for Ella Mae Coffman, Age 97 of Hartville, Missouri will take place on Thursday, October 16th, 2025 at The Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Hartville, Missouri, beginning at 2:00 PM. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025 from 6-8 PM. Burial will be in The Coon Creek Cemetery.
Ella Mae (Moss) Coffman went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 11, 2025, at Hartville Care Center at 97 years, 10 months, and 29 days of age. Ella Mae was born November 13, 1927, to Archie and Ruth Moss, in Bowling Green, Missouri.
After high school, Ella Mae moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where she met Troy Dee Coffman. They were united in marriage on February 28, 1948, and two sons and two daughters were born to this union: Jerry Mac, Danny Ray, Judy Ann, and June Marie. They loved their children, and they were truly the culmination of their marriage. Ella Mae was saved at a young age, and she attended Coon Creek Church and Green Valley Church.
Ella Mae spent most of her life working and helping take care of their farm northeast of Hartville, Missouri. She worked at the Wright County Courthouse for a time and also worked as a secretary for Attorney Al Turner and several different businesses in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Her free time was spent sewing, quilting, dancing, and helping out at the Senior Citizens Center. She also took great joy in preparing Sunday dinners for her family.
Ella Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Coffman, one son, Danny Coffman, her parents, Archie and Ruth Moss, one brother, Marvin Moss, and two sisters, Dorothy Nell Cliffrow and Fern Prock.
She is survived by one brother, Junior Moss and wife, Doris, one son, Jerry Coffman and wife, Darlene, two daughters, Judy Pollock and husband, Terry, and June Hutson and boyfriend, Norm, five grandchildren, Rebecca, Roxane, Brian, Kinder, and Melissa, seven great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren, and many other extended family and friends.
Ella Mae was a great and loving mom and grandma, and she will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.
