Graveside Services for Heather Clark, Age 43 of Joplin, Missouri (formerly of Mountain Grove, Missouri) will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 in The Lone Star Cemetery, Mountain Grove, Missouri, beginning at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM at The Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove, Missouri.
Heather Renee (Piland) Clark was born December 28, 1982, in Wichita, Kansas, and passed away on April 29, 2026, at her home in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 43.
Heather graduated with the Mountain Grove High School Class of 2000. After high school, her adventurous spirit led her across several states and she began a career in the welding industry. She was known for her strong work ethic, independence, and willingness to take on new challenges.
A gifted artist, Heather expressed herself through drawing and music, and she loved attending concerts whenever she could. Her dogs were her constant companions, and caring for them brought her great joy. She found peace in the outdoors—whether camping under the stars, fishing by the water, or spending a day boating with friends and family.
Heather also had a remarkable green thumb. She enjoyed tending to her garden and had a special fondness for cactus, nurturing each plant with patience and pride.
Heather will be remembered for her creativity, her love of nature, her free spirit, and the warmth she shared with those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Heather was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Breanna Renee; and uncles, Bill and Ron Chastain.
Heather is survived by her husband, David Clark; son, Gabriel Allman; daughter, Alessia Piland; grandson, Ronin Piland; parents, Patricia and Gary Alcorn; brothers, Johnny Rogers, Toby Alcorn, Ricky Rogers, A.J. Alcorn, and Brett Welton; sisters, Stephanie Rogers and Jeannie McGown; and many other relatives and friends.
