Helga E. Orcutt, beloved sister, grandmother, great-aunt, and friend, passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 86. Born and raised in Pirka, Germany, Helga moved to Massachusetts at age 15, where she began a new chapter in her life and met her soulmate, Edward Warren Orcutt. The two shared a long, beautiful marriage filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
A talented seamstress, Helga dedicated her life to her craft, finding joy in creating and mending while always embracing the beauty of the outdoors and nature. She was rarely seen without her cherished Boston Terrier, Neiko, who was her constant companion. Helga loved scenic drives, especially when the speed limit was carefully observed. She thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful days in the Ozarks.
Helga’s zest for life was evident in her boundless energy and her commitment to family. In May of 2022, she moved to Missouri to be near her sister, Anita Gann, in West Plains. Helga & Anita spent these last years living side by side, growing even closer and sharing countless treasured moments.
She is survived by her devoted sister, Anita Gann of West Plains, her grandson, William Frederick Carr, nephews Cody H. Gann, Clayton Turner and his wife Fernanda, and their daughter, Helga’s great-niece and namesake, Eleanor Mae Turner, as well as many other friends and relatives whose lives she touched.
Helga was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Warren Orcutt; her children, Anna Marie Carr and Edward Allen Orcutt; and numerous other beloved relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Hope Cemetery in Worcester, Massachusetts, at a later date to be determined, where Helga will be laid to rest beside her loving husband. Arrangements are entrusted to Always Faithful Memorial Services, West Plains, MO.
Helga will be remembered for her warm spirit, her love for family and nature, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
