Imogene “Jean” Entwistle

Imogene Entwistle, 85 years, 10 months, and 28 days old, passed away on May 3, 2024, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illionois.

On June 6, 1938, Jean was born in Ava, Missouri to Earnest and Lela (Wilkinson) Johnson.

Jean and Bob Entwistle were united in marriage on August 13, 1983 in Rochelle, Illinois.  

Jean worked for Avery for 12 years. She also managed Stop-n-Go and Casey’s for 15 years. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Entwistle, her son, Terry Brown, her granddaughter, Erin Brown, a sister, Barbara, a brother, Bennie Johnson and sister-in-law, Fannette Johnson, and brother-in-law, Ben Casey. Jean is survived by her daughter Cheryl Cunz and husband Alan Cunz, daughter Jeannine Weber and husband Gene Weber, and her son Gregory Dale Brown. She has nine grandchildren: Shannon Montelongo, Nick Russell, Dezeray Morse, Skylar Brown, Brani Cunz, Cassie Loyd, Samantha Brown-Person, Kayla Rosario, and Gauge Brown. Eleven great-grandchildren: Devin Montelongo, Daniel Montelongo, Emily Montelongo, Zoe Russell, Nora Russell, Jade Morse, John Loyd, Clayton Loyd, Mason Loyd, Jeremiah Morales, and Gabriel Rosario Lopez. Great-great grandchildren: Kanoa, Michael, Layla, and Emilio Montelongo; her siblings, Bill Johnson, Marcelene Casey, Gloria and Dwain Moore, LaVella and Carl Streight, and Lennie and Ann Johnson.

She is greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Visitation for Jean will be Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO then following will be graveside services at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Ava. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Spacek. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
