Jack William Sechrest was born to Shirley (Bales) Sechrest and Bill Sechrest on May 22, 1968, in Mountain View, Missouri, and passed away on November 7, 2022, in West Plains, Missouri, at the young age of 54.
Jack married the love of his life Tonya on February 23, 1996, and together they raised four sons. Jack was the best husband and loved being a father but becoming a grandpa was his favorite.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tonya, aka Cinderella; his mother, Shirley Beard of Birch Tree, MO; his sister, Vicky Harding of Birch Tree, MO; his brother Rick Sechrest and wife, Rose of Mountain View, MO; his sons, Koty Sechrest and wife, Shaina of Chesterton, IN, Zachary Bryant and wife, Ashlynn of Mountain View, MO, Ryder Sechrest of Birch Tree, MO, and Dillon Sechrest; five beautiful grandchildren, Haley, Rylynn, Brycen, and Evalyn of Chesterton, IN, and Jaxxon Sechrest; we cannot forget his fur babies, Sparky, Bayley, Little White Dog, Scottie, Mama Kitty, Carl, Missy, and Jolene; sisters-in-law, Trisha Clover and Jen Bryant; brothers-in-law, Tim and Terry Bryant; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Minnie Sechrest and Buck and Gladys Bales; his father, Bill Sechrest; brother, Joe Sechrest; brother-in-law, Jim Harding; father-in-law, George Bryant; and his best fur buddy, Scooby-Doo.
Jack could do anything he put his mind to. He was a rock to many, and the world lost a great man. Jack was a truck driver and thought of Matt and Brandi Layman more as family than his boss. The green monster was his second home and his last ride to the sky. Jack’s other skill was woodworking, a craft he was determined to master (he was close). He also loved giving everyone a hard time, including his mom, but she gave it right back, plus some. Jack’s smile made him “Happy Jack” his whole life. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for anyone without thinking twice.
