James Irvin Matthews, 86 years, 9 months, and 22 days old, passed away on, April 20, 2025 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, Missouri.
James was born June 29, 1938 in the Exeter, California to his father and mother, Dorothy Cautheron.
James was married to Donna Marie McDougall and to this union three daughters were born, Rose Marie and twins, Patricia and Priscilla. Later his daughter Rachael was born.
He lived and worked as a sawmiller in Louisiana until he was injured on the job. From then on he was unable to work. He then moved to Missouri.
James was able to enjoy living at Heart of the Ozarks for the past two years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James is survived by four daughters, Rose Matthews, Patricia and Priscilla Matthews, and Rachael Swindell; and step son, Chris Swindell.
Cremation services are being provided by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri per James’ wishes.
