Joanne Weston passed away in Kansas City, Missouri on Dec 9, 2024, after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born on Nov 22, 1935, in Oxford, Arkansas to Noel (Pete) and Lotha Martin, she was the oldest of two daughters. She leaves behind her daughter Kristy June Main (John), sister Jeanette Everette (Charles), granddaughter Lyndsey Padget, great-granddaughters Allison and Vivienne Padget, and grandson Ryan Main (Bethany). Joanne is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of sixty years, Paul Weston.
She was a long-time member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Independence and later the Country Meadows Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements will be coordinated with Speaks Funeral Home in Independence and with Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Oxford Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Oxford, Arkansas with Bro. Bobby Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, Arkansas.
